Clinton Larsen
Clint Larson is an ex-learner of Collingwood Primary School. The late Mr Phillip Camphor was his soccer coach and it was at Collingwood Primary where Clinton’s soccer skills were discovered and fine-tuned.
Clinton donated his Bafana shirt to our school. This shirt was worn in his Bafana Bafana debut match against the Netherlands in 1997.
Clinton has won the Inaugural SA Premier League with Manning Rangers Durban (1996/97 season) the following year. Clinton went on to join Orlando Pirates with whom he won the League and Cup double.
The shirt was donated as a token of gratitude to the school and teaching staff where it all started for him. Collingwood Primary School is proud to be associated with Clinton, a professional athlete.
